Why or Why Not Use Everyday Steward Services?

Selecting a financial planner or investment manager can be difficult. Not every prospective client can be served by an Everyday Steward Advisor; therefore, we have developed a list of reasons why and why not to work with Everyday Steward.

6 Reasons to work with an Everyday Steward advisor:

  1. You are an “Everyday Steward.” You desire to make wise financial decisions and follow Biblical principles of stewardship, however your financial situation is not complex. Rather than be a “smaller fish in a big pond,” you want to be served by someone who values your relationship and is familiar with the “everyday” financial issues you face.

  2. You are looking for a trusted financial advisor. Our goal is to fill this role for you.

  3. You want an advisor who can evaluate your entire financial picture. Even when addressing a single financial issue, we look at other financial areas since there are no independent financial decisions.

  4. You want an advisor with a Biblical perspective as well as technical expertise and experience. Over 25 years ago, Ronald Blue & Co., began offering professional financial counsel based on Biblical principles to individuals with financial situations ranging from basic to complex.

  5. You want an objective perspective. Our fee-only approach encourages objectivity.

  6. You would like to spend less time on your financial matters and more time with your family or other priorities. At the end of the day, managing money is rarely an ultimate goal or a top priority for most people. We desire to be a trusted advisor so our clients can spend their time on the things that matter most.

6 Reasons not to work with an Everyday Steward advisor

  1. You are looking for the cheapest place to buy and sell your investments. RB&Co. is not a discount or full service brokerage company, but an advisor offering comprehensive financial counsel.

  2. You want to handle your own investment analyses or you only want to hold a certain kind of investment. Many investors prefer to choose their own investments. We work best with individuals who want to delegate this task.

  3. You want to speculate or “time” the investment markets. We consider broad time horizons when making investment allocation recommendations and do not attempt to speculate in or time the investment markets.

  4. You prefer to work on a commission rather than a fee basis. Some people prefer to work on a commission basis and organizations exist that can provide these services directly or through an individual. We work only on a fee basis.

  5. You are indifferent to working with an advisor with a Biblical perspective. Our clients value partnering with an advisor who shares common values.

  6. You are an individual with a high income, have built a significant net worth, or have an estate situation that would pass on significant wealth to your family or others. Our focus is on serving the Everyday Steward. Our parent organization, Ronald Blue & Co., provides services to those individuals who have more complex situations.
